In order to avoid the different stress ratios occurring on bicycle wheels of conventional design without falling back on expensive special frame constructions, a mixed spoke arrangement is formed on the bicycle wheel in such a manner that on the side of the rear-wheel sprocket (right) the spokes are crossed 4 times and on the other side of the rear-wheel sprocket (left) the spokes are crossed 3 times.
