PURPOSE:To obtain a negative image having a high image quality and a high contrast and suitable to use for a graphic arts by effecting a developing treatment of a silver halide photographic sensitive material in a presence of a specific hydrazine derivative. CONSTITUTION:The titled method is a method of effecting the developing treatment of the silver halide photographic sensitive material in the presence of the compd. shown by the formula. In the formula, Dye is a residue of a coloring matter, J<1> may be substd. and is an alkylene group or an arylene group, etc. J<2> may be substd. and is an arylene group, R is a hydrogen atom or a substd. or an unsubstd. alkyl or aryl group, G is a carbonyl group or a substd. or an unsubstd. iminomethylene group. When a rhodium salt is added to the silver halide emulsion, a high contrasty image is obtained and a sensitivity of said emulsion reduces. However, as the prescribed emulsion contains the compd. shown by the formula, the sensitivity of said emulsion recovers remarkably, and the image having the high contrasty is obtd. |
