Additional, geometrically accurate, fixedly mounted weight for improving the driving properties in winter operation, in the case of a passenger vehicle with conventional drive, making use of the cavity in the rim bowl of the spare wheel

By virtue of the arrangement of the spare wheel lying in a trough underneath the boot floor in the rear region of the passenger vehicle, it is possible to mount a geometrically accurate weight unit in the cavity of the rim bowl. By mounting the weight behind the driving axle, the weight is additionally increased by a lever arm. This has the consequence that a higher contact-pressure force acts on the driving wheels, which results in a clear improvement in the driving properties in winter. The fixed mounting on the vehicle improves the passive and active safety of the vehicle passengers. The retaining cables provided ensure problem-free handling with the weight unit. The available boot capacity is not reduced by the weight unit. The weights can be used universally and are not dependent on the type of passenger vehicle. Three (3) models of different construction and weight with the same volume are available depending on the user's requirements.
