PURPOSE:To reduce the internal resistance of a button-shaped air battery, by using a cellulose hydrate film of prescribed polymerization degree and thickness to make a separator between an air electrode and amalgamated zinc. CONSTITUTION:An air diffusion paper 6, an air electrode 5 and a separator 4 are housed in a positive electrode case 7 provided with air holes 8. The case 7 is then combined with a sealing plate 2 inside which amalgamated zinc 1 is filled. A button-shaped air battery is thus built. At that time,a cellulose hydrate film having a polymerization degree of 400 to 600 and a thickness of 20 to 50mu is used as the separator 4. Air bubbles are prevented from coming in between the separator 4 and the air electrode 5, to reduce the internal resistance of the battery. Drying is prevented between the separator 4 and the air electrode 5 even if a sealing paper 9 is removed, so that the preserving property of the battery in an unsealed state is enhanced. Thus, the performance of the battery is heightened by simple procedures, and the handling property thereof is improved. |
