PURPOSE:To approximately thoroughly seal the fine pores of a ceramic layer by impregnating a thermosetting resin liquid into the fine pores on the inside surface of a composite pipe and heating the pipe from the outside while rotating the same. CONSTITUTION:The composite pipe A which is coated with the ceramic layer 3 on the inside surface is dipped into a sealing material 5 consisting of the thermosetting resin and is subjected to evacuation to a vacuum to impregnate the sealing agent 5 into the fine pores 4 of the ceramic layer 3. The pipe body subjected to the impregnation treatment is heated for a prescribed period by a burner 11, etc., from the outside while said body is rotated after liquid draining. The outflow of the material 5 is prevented by centrifugal force during the heating and the curing of the material 5 arises from the formed iron layer 2 or base pipe 1 side of the composite pipe A. Since the uncured material 5 is pushed to the iron layer 2 side by the centrifugal force in this stage, the volume shrinkage in the diametral direction of the pores 4 can be made up. The sealing is thus thoroughly treated and the defects to be generated from the fine pores are prevented. |
