PURPOSE:To produce external parts for a watch having superior wear resistance by successively forming a gold layer by striking on a metal or alloy, hard Au-Ni plating on the gold layer and Au-Ni-In plating on the Au-Ni plating. CONSTITUTION:Gold layers are formed by striking on the surfaces of external parts for a watch made of a metal or alloy such as stainless steel. Hard Au-Ni plating is then formed on the gold layers to about 20Xm thickness and Au-Ni-In plating as finish color plating if formed on the Au-Ni plating preferably to <=about 3mum thickness. Thus, external parts for a watch having a fine finish color tone. high hardness and superior wear resistance are obtd. |
