<p>PURPOSE:To reduce the overall thickness of a cassette type magnetic recording/ reproducing device by driving a lift mechanism which moves up and down a reel rotary shaft in response to the detecting action for attachment/detachment of a cassette done by a cassette position detecting mechanism. CONSTITUTION:A cassette position detecting lever 11 interlocks automatically a reel rotary shaft lift mechanism 25 while a cassette 2 is kept inserted horizontally. Then a reel rotary shaft 6 is moved up and put into a reel hole 2b of the cassette 2. Thus the cassette 2 is inserted horizontally and then moved down to be loaded without putting the shaft 6 into the hole 2b. Furthermore a space where the cassette 2 is moved down is not needed. While a space for move-down of a subchassis is also omitted compared with a cassette loading system where a subchassis holding a reel rotary shaft, a capstan, etc. is moved up and down. This reduces the overall space and then the overall thickness of a cassette type magnetic recording/reproducing device.</p> |
