A magneto-optical recording disk (10) has a transparent resinous substrate (12) with a pre-groove (14), and a metallic recording layer (20) formed above the substrate (12). A transparent adhesive layer (18) is provided between the substrate (12) and the recording layer (20), for allowing a laser beam (16) to pass therethrough, and for causing the recording layer (20) to be tightly adhered to the substrate (12) to thereby prevent the recording layer (20) from being peeled off from the substrate (12). The adhesive layer (18) is comprised of a fluorine resin material.
