PURPOSE:To form a color image with high sensitivity by short-time exposure and rapid dry processing by using a polymerizable compound and a color image forming substance microencapsulated together or sealed together in drops of oil on a support. CONSTITUTION:When photosensitive silver halide, a reducing agent, a polymerizable compound, a thermal polymn. initiator and a color image forming substance are used on a support, at least the polymerizable compound and the color image forming substance are microencapsulated together or sealed together in drops of oil. In the resulting photosensitive material, the photosensitive silver halide acts as a photo-sensor. When the silver halide is exposed and developed by heating, a polymer image is formed and the color image forming substance is immobilized. Since the reducing agent or an oxidized product produced by the oxidation of the reducing agent during the development of the silver halide have different degrees of polymn. inhibiting action, both negative and positive type images can be obtd. When the photosensitive material is used, a color image having absorption in the visible region can be formed with high sensitivity by short-time exposure and dry processing. |
