PURPOSE:To improve a picture in quality and to reduce the size of a device by mounting an electrophotographic mechanism part on a carriage which has a bottom plate and putting it in reciprocal motion, and moving a recording paper feed device intermittently at right angles to said reciprocal motion. CONSTITUTION:The carriage 1 mounting the electrophotographic mechanism part has the bottom plate 1a and is provided with a slight opening 1b at a transfer part 10, so falling toner particles are cut off by the bottom plate 1a and never fall on recording paper 12 to stick thereupon. The recording paper feed device 18 is so provided that it moves intermittently at right angles to the direction of the reciprocal motion of the carriage 1. An image is recorded on the recording paper 12 by the combination of the reciprocal motion of the carriage 1 and the intermittent motion of the recording paper feed device 18. Then, the carriage 1 is also put in reciprocal motion under the guidance of a guide 16 to record an image on the recording paper 12, and the recording paper feed device 18 is provided outside of the carriage 1, so the size of the device is reduced. |
