PURPOSE:To prevent breaking of a seal plate due to a shift of a seamed part, by a method wherein a seal plate having a flexture at a central part positioned in a seam gap is secured to the seamed part of a tubular underground structure. CONSTITUTION:Two tubular underground structures 1 made of concrete are positioned opposite to each other with a seam gap 2 therebetween. A joint 3 is provided with a seal plate 4, press plates 5, underlay layers 6, and anchor bolts 7. The seal plate 4 is a rubber sheet wherein a reinforcing cloth 9 is buried, a flexible part 10 at a central part is positioned in the seam gap 2 and is expanded toward the outer periphery side of the tubular underground structure 1. The underlay plates 6, the seal plates 4, and the press plates 5 are secured by screwing a nut 11 on an anchor bolt 7. Even if a joint filler 12 is broken due to a change with time and a shift in a seam, since there is the margin of the length of the flexible part 10 of the seal plate 4, the seal plate 4 is prevented from breaking. |
