PURPOSE:To enhance sound absorbing effect and certainly hold sound absorbing body, by holding the sound absorbing body by a sheet material having a through-hole groove engaging with the protruded part of the partition member provided in the case of a sound absorbing device. CONSTITUTION:A box shaped case 4 of which one surface having a narrow width is opened is divided into the predetermined number of sections, for example, four sections 11A-11D by partition members 10 and a protruded part 10A is provided on the lower part of each partition member 10. Sound absorbing bodies 12A-12D comprising polyurethane foam each having a length L2 slightly longer than the width L1 of each of the sections 11A-11D are received in said sections 11A-11D under pressure to be pressed and held by a support sheet 13. Crisscross engaging holes 13A engaging with the protruded parts 10A of the partition members 10 are provided to the support sheet 13 and, when the protruded parts 10A are pushed in, the corner parts of each crisscross engaging hole 13A are bent inwardly to strengthen the connection of each protruded part 10A and each crisscross engaging hole 13A. |
