PURPOSE:To increase the photoelectric conversion efficiency of a solar battery by sufficiently reducing the series resistance in a plurality of generating sections therebetween. CONSTITUTION:When light is introduced through a substrate 1 and the first electrodes 2a, 2b, 2c into amorphous silicon layers 3a, 3b, 3c, electrons and holes of free state are generated mainly in non-doped layer, and attracted via pin-junction electric field generated by the respective layers and moved, and collected to the first electrodes 2a, 2b, 2c and second electrodes 4a, 4b, 4c facing each other to generate voltage between both the electrodes. At this time left side second electrodes 4a, central first electrodes 2b, central second electrodes 4b and right side first electrodes 2c are electrically connected respectively. Accordingly, the electromotive force between the opposite electrodes are added in series each other. |
