PURPOSE:To facilitate the adjustment of a lighting angle and the like and to reduce lighting irregularities, by using transmitted lighting in detecting the image of a pattern, which is formed on a printed board, diffusing the light projected from an optical fiber through a diffusing plate, and performing indirect lighting. CONSTITUTION:An optical fiber 10 and a diffusing plate 12, which diffuses light, are arranged on one surface of a printed board 13. An image input camera 14 is provided on the other surface of the board 13. The light projected from the fiber 10 is diffused through the diffusing plate 12. The diffused light is received by the image input camera 14 through the board 13. Based on the transmitted light, an image processing device 15 recognizes the appearance of the pattern. Thus, a lighting angle and the like can be readily adjusted, and the lighting irregularity can be reduced. |
