<p>PURPOSE:To obtain a thermal head which is usable on a rough paper, by increasing an energy density through forming of an abrasion resistant protection film with a mixture of a cubic boron nitride (CBN) and a hexagonal boron nitride (hBN). CONSTITUTION:The above CBN has an excellent abrasion resistance, crack resistance, heat conductivity, chemical stability, oxidation resistance and an electrical resistance, and the CBN alone may be used as an abrasion resistant protection film. However, for a wider use of a thermal printer, a printing on a paper of 20sec or under, so called a rough paper, is required, and because of the requirements, higher energy density is required, being exposed to rapid cycles of temperatures. In order to alleviate a heat stress by the above temperature cycles, mixing and dispersing of the CBN and the hBN in molecular ratio of 0.1-1.0 will bring an extremely satisfactory results.</p> |
