The manual grass shears are, apart from the cutters 60, 68 and some small connection parts, made exclusively from moulded plastic parts which can be inserted into one another. The shears thus have a shell-shaped upper grip supporting the fixed lower cutter 60 and, partially surrounded by the latter, a lower grip which is of hollow design and which actuates the upper cutter via a pull rod. The cutters are supported with a bearing head 40 which is provided with the upper grip support and which can be arranged rotatably or in a fixed manner in relation to the upper grip. The locking takes place by means of a plastic slide 24 which is arranged on the front end of the upper grip and can be displaced easily by means of the thumb in order to lock or unlock the lower grip or the movable cutter. <IMAGE>
