PURPOSE:To make it possible to record accurate information for defining the moving position of a movable body, by a simple apparatus constituted so that a function representing information detected when the movable body moves is converted by predetermined mapping and recording the converted information. CONSTITUTION:When a function representing information changing according to the movement of a movable body is set to (f), the mapping G(f) of the function (f) using all of the useful mappings is defined as map information. As thus defined function (f), for example, a function having the detecting quantity of the acceleration detector of the movable body and the operation quantity of a moving mechanism subjected to running as variables can be used. At the time of the movement of the movable body, the function (f) is always detected at a predetermined cycle and the conversion due to using mapping G was applied to said function while the converted one is recorded in the form of the mapping G as a map. A filter characteristic is preliminarily imparted to the mapping G and the movement information of the movable body is identified and recorded on a recording medium as map information. |
