PURPOSE:To improve the housing density of tools as well as to make productivity improvable, by having a tool changer built in the inner part of a fixed type tool magazine in polyhedral structure, and installing a second tool magazine having a tool delivery device. CONSTITUTION:A first tool changer 8 is being installed in the inner part of a tool magazine 5 which sets up a plate member 4 disposing vertically plural tool housing pockets 3 housing a tool 2 radially on the same circumference and thereby the tool 2 selected out of the tool magazine 5 is delivered between the tool changer 8 and a second tool changer (ATC). And, an interspace between the tool magazine 5 and a second tool magazine 28, there is provided with a tool delivery device 22 as an attachment, whereby the tool selected out of this tool magazine 28 is delivered to the second tool changer (ATC) relaying the first tool changer 8, then attached to a spindle 1 of a machine tool. Indexing operation of a first tool changer body 10 and tool change operation of the second tool changer (ATC) are simultaneously carried out so that indexing time is sharply reduced, thus productivity is improved. |
