The invention relates to a device for drawing webs of material into treatment units, wherein the webs of material are fed to the treatment units via a multiplicity of guide rollers, aligning rollers, spreading rollers, draw-in rollers or the like, and has the purpose of providing a device which allows extensive automation of drawing webs of material into the treatment units. According to the invention, it is proposed for this purpose to arrange, on both sides of the webs of material, endless belts, bands or chains which run on guides through the draw-in region of the webs of material and to which the ends of the webs of material can be releasably joined by means of fastening elements (Figure 1). <IMAGE>
