摘要 PURPOSE:To improve image gradation, color reproductivity, etc., by attaching dotted electrodes of a metal high in work function to a conductive substrate in an electrophotographic sensitive body prepared by forming a photosensitive layer made of Se or the like on the substrate, and reducing the thickness of the Se layer. CONSTITUTION:The dotted electrodes 2 of 12.5-100 mesh are attached to the conductive substrate 1 of an aluminum drum or the like by using a metal higher in work function than the substrate 1, such as Ni or Pt, and applying the vapor deposition or sputtering method or the like, thus permitting surface potential to be given selective differences in accordance with the dotted electrodes, an image to be divided into the dots, and a color image to be given gradation as well as softness. Further, an electrostatic charge transfer layer 3 made of Se or SeAs is formed in a thickness of 10-40mum on the dotted electrodes 2, and a charge generating layer 4 made of SeTe is formed to obtain the electrophotographic sensitive body.
