<p>2- (3,4-Di-methoxyphenyl) N-2(3,4-dimethoxy phenyl) ethyl N-methyl 1,3-dithiane 2-propylamino 1,1,3,3-tetroxide hydrochloride of formula (I), for treatment of certain cardiopathic complaints, is made by (a) reaction of 2-(3,4-dimethoxy phenyl) m-dithiene 1,1,3,3-tetroxide with molten sodium in an inert organic solvent with b.pt. below 100 deg.C under 3-6 kg/cm. pressure at 100-105 deg.C; and (b) reaction of the prod. with N-(3-chloro propyl) 3,4-dimethoxy N-methyl phenetylamine at 60-100 deg.C under atmos pressure.</p> |
