PURPOSE:To cause a system having a different signal transmitting speed to use the same receiver by automatically detecting the signal transmitting speed and automatically performing the processes of decoding etc., on received signals synchronously to the transmitting speed of the system. CONSTITUTION:Signals transmitted from a base station are received by means of an FM receiver 2 through an antenna 1 and transferred to a signal transmitting speed detecting circuit 3 after the signals are digitized. At the circuit 3 the transmitting speed of the transferred digital signals is detected. The circuit 3 transmits the detected transmitting speed to a switch 12 and selects one of XTALs 9-11. The output signals of the XTALs 9-11 are sent to a decoder circuit 4 through the switch 12 and the circuit 3 receives received signals synchronously to the output signals. When the received signals are those addressed to the receiver, an alarm circuit 13 is actuated and the received signals are transferred to a central processing section 5. When the information to be displayed is contained in the received signals, the section 5 displays the information on a display section 6 and stores the information in a displaying content storing section 8. |
