Nucleotide and polypeptide sequences derived from the VISNA virus and their application to diagnostic tests and to the production of immunogenic compositions

The invention relates to nucleotide sequences derived from the genome of the VISNA virus and the polypeptides encoded by these nucleotide sequences. It relates more particularly to the polypeptides belonging to the envelope of the VISNA virus and to their application in tests for the detection of anti-VISNA antibodies in biological samples from animals. It also relates to the application of these same polypeptides to the production of immunogenic compositions for the production of anti-VISNA vaccines in animals.
