The invention relates to a device for transforming the traditional shape of stove tiles to a cuboidal shape. The object underlying the invention is to provide a device with which commercially available stove tiles with a peculiar shape, which makes it difficult to lay them in bond, can be reshaped to a form similar to a brick thus considerably facilitating laying them in bond by comparison with the setting process used with conventionally shaped tiles. This object is achieved according to the invention in that a device has been discovered which is distinguished in that, in a two-part mould with specific construction elements necessary for the moulding and releasing process, stove tiles can be converted into cuboidal bodies using a hard-setting auxiliary material.
