The invention relates to a variant IX, added to the eight variants expounded in the initial description, whose particular features are as follows: it does not call for pneumatic or hydraulic energy which previously existed on the vehicle or which is especially created and necessitates an intermediate system for exploiting this energy. The assistance is directly produced, as a function of the effort of the driver, by part of the force constituted by the application to P2 of the pressure coming, by virtue of P1, from the thrust of E; the other part compresses R3; the decrease in roadholding brings about the drop in this pressure and the assistance, with pressure relief of R3 which opposes the braking effort of the driver. <IMAGE>
