A styrene-based resin composition is described comprising (A) a styrene-based resin component comprising a styrene-based resin having at least 5% by weight of styrene, and 0 to 40% by weight of a rubber-like material, (B) an aluminum component selected from the group consisting of aluminum and aluminum alloy in a powdery, fibrous and flaky form, and optionally (C) an electrically conductive carbon black. The styrene-based resin composition not only has good electromagnetic wave-shielding properties, but it also possesses excellent mechanical strength. Further, if the above-described components (A), (B) and (C) are combined together with (D) a halogen-containing organic compound and an antimony oxide and (E) a hydrous inorganic substance, the composition has good flame retardant property, excellent mechanical properties, as well as excellent electromagnetic wave-shielding ability. |
