PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a silver halide photographic sensitive material high in sensitivity. SOLUTION: This silver halide photographic sensitive material has at least one hydrophilic colloidal layer on a support and one of the hydrophilic colloidal layers contains flat minute inorganic particles in a ratio of these particles to a gelatin contained in this layer of less than 1:10 by weight, and >=99.5volume% of these minute particles have particle diameters smaller than 16μm and they are coated with a metal oxide on the surface.
