<p>PURPOSE:To detect only the light that is given from a prescribed optical path and to increase an input area by providing the light shielding members at the corners of a frame structure containing no light shielding plate so that the light coming from the back of the light shielding plate is prevented from traveling to a photodetecting element. CONSTITUTION:A light shielding plate 8 is provided to a frame structure 1 attached at the front side of a photodetecting element 5 of a coordinate input device. Then end parts 8b and 8c of the plate 8 are extended to both sides as the light shielding members 11. While the part 8b is bent at the side of a light emitting element 4 along an opening part 2 up to a position adjacent to the element 4. Thus, the light is prevented from going inside through a corner part 1a. Then an end part 8c which is adjacent to the element 5 is bent to close totally the part 1a. Thus, the light coming into the side of the element 5 is prevented. This avoids such a case where the light comes into the element 5 from an optical path other than the prescribed one and undesired output is produced. Thus, no error is produced when the coordinates are detected.</p> |
