PURPOSE:To enable to control the mixture ratio of a high-quality fuel and a low-quality fuel, by providing a second fuel pump separately from a first fuel pump for supplying mixed fuel to an internal combustion engine under pressure, and supplying the mixed fuel to said first fuel pump after mixing the high-quality fuel and the low-quality fuel togehter by said second fuel pump. CONSTITUTION:In operation of a diesel engine 1, A-type heavy oil in a tank 6 is dicharged from a first fuel pump 2 and flows spontaneously without control. In this stage, if no-load operation of the engine 1 is detected by a load detector 3 for detecting the rack position, for instance, of the first fuel pump 2, operation of a second fuel pump 9 is stoppedby adjusting the position of a rack 9a of the pump 9 by controlling an actuator 10 by a controller 4, and the required amount of fuel is provided only by A-type heavy oil. On the other hand, when the mode of engine operation has entered into a predetermined low-load operational range, C-type heavy oil in a tank 11 is supplied under pressure by the second fuel pump 9 and mixed with A-type heavy oil at the inlet of the first fuel pump 2. |
