<p>Cyclone apparatus with axial flow for separating particles suspended in a fluid, consisting of a tubular body (10) comprising blades (14) for imparting rotation at the end at which the fluid to be purified enters, a device for recovering the kinetic energy of the fluid at its other end, and a core (12) arranged on the axis of the tubular body, longitudinal slots (18) being cut into the wall of the tubular body, between its ends, for the discharge of the separated particles. In order to improve the separating efficiency of these apparatuses, in particular for particles whose sizes lie between 5 and 10 microns, the cross-section of the passage formed between the tubular body (10) and the core (12) decreases gradually, from upstream to downstream, in the converging portion (10a) of the tubular body, and increases gradually, from upstream to downstream, between the upstream end of the diverging portion (10c) and the outlet end of the tubular body. <IMAGE></p> |
