APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR BOOSTING PRESSURE OF NATURAL GAS FLOWING FROM A WELL

A device for economically boosting the pressure of natural gas flowing from a shallow low pressure well or for removing the gas head pressures from oil wells to enhance production rates of oil. The device incorporates motor means for driving a hydraulic pump which supplies fluid to an hydraulic cylinder. The piston rod of the hydraulic cylinder is secured to the rod of a gas cylinder whereby actuation of the hydraulic cylinder services to reciprocate the piston of the gas cylinder. This in turn displaces a required volume of gas into the line. The gas cylinder production can be regulated.
