PURPOSE:To obtain a multi-tubular heat exchanger of small size at low cost having high heatexchanging efficiency, by disposing a heat-conducting body having hatched patterns in cross section provided with a plurality of flow passages, allowing a first fluid to flow therethrough, in a space formed between the outer side of a heat-exchanger tube and the inner side of an outer shell. CONSTITUTION:A first fluid L as heating medium and a second fluid H are made to flow, wherein heat is exchanged between these two fluids through the walls of heat exchanger tubes 2. Heat-conducting bodies 4 consisting of plates having high thermal conductivity, such as aluminum plates, and being laid out and joined each other in a hatched pattern in cross section, are arranged to fill the space between the walls of heat exchanger tubes 2 and that of a cylindrical shell 1. Since the heat-conducting bodies 4 are made of high- thermal-conductivity material and further joined to the heat exchanger tubes 2 by welding or soldering, it follows that thermal resistance between the both is extremely small. Accordingly, the heat-conducting bodies 4 have a function of fins for the heat exchanger tubes 2, leading to a largely enlarged external heat-transfer surfaces of the heat exchanger tubes 2. |
