The invention relates to a headlight, in particular for motor vehicles, comprising a parabolic reflector which has a reflecting front surface and which is equipped in the region of its rear vertex with a through bore for mounting a lamp, with a shielding device which comprises a front cup which is provided in front of the said bore, and having connecting means for connecting the cup to the reflector. The invention is characterised in that the bore has dimensions such that it is possible for the cup and the connecting means to pass through, and that said means extend at least partially through the bore and comprise removable means for connection to a rear surface of the reflector.
