In a weaving loom with individual heald control, which has a selector device (1) connected to an electronic pattern control device and comprising, for each individual heald (2 to 8), lifting means (19, 20) moving up and down synchronously with the work cycle of the weaving loom and coupling means actuable by electromagnets (36), a high working speed, along with a design not susceptible to faults, is to be achieved. For this purpose, according to the invention, the coupling means are plungers (22, 23) which are connected downwards to one of the healds (2 to 8), are supported on the lifting means (19, 20) in the basic position and move up and down together with these, in the top dead-centre position the lifting means (19, 20) bring the plungers (22, 23) up to the respective associated electromagnets (36) which, depending on the control state, retain the plungers (22, 23) or else leave them on the lifting means (19, 20), and there are provided separating means which, at the end of a magnetisation phase, assist a detachment of the plungers (22, 23) as a result of their own weight. <IMAGE>
