This invention provides a group of antiarrythmic agents of the formula: <IMAGE> in which R1 is -CO2H, -CO2(CH2)n-NR4R5, -CONR6R7, -NHCO2R8 or -NHCO2(CH2)o-NR9R10 where R4 and R5 are H or alkyl of 1 to 6 carbon atoms and n is 1 to 6; R6 and R7 are H or alkyl of 1 to 6 carbon atoms; R8 is alkyl of 1 to 6 carbon atoms; and R9 and R10 are alkyl of 2 to 6 carbon atoms and o is 1 to 6; R2 and R3 are, independently, hydrogen or alkyl of 1 to 6 carbon atoms; and m is one of the integers 1, 2, 3 or 4; or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof, and a method for their use.
