<p>PURPOSE:To obtain a synthetic resin foam excellent in a cell structure, physical properties, etc., by placing a gas-permeable covering material on the surface of a foaming stock solution discharged from a mixer into a molding die or the like and being yet unexpanded, and expanding and curing the stock solution. CONSTITUTION:Components of a foaming stock solution for producing a thermosetting synthetic resin foam such as a phenolic resin foam, polyurethane foam or polyisocyanurate foam and mixed togehter in a mixer. This mixture is discharged from the mixer into a molding die or onto a conveyor belt and, before the foaming stock solution is expanded, a gas-permeable covering material (e.g., woven fabric of inorganic fiber or nonwoven fabric of organic fiber) is placed on the upper surface of the solution or a material which can form a gas-permeable covering material (e.g., bentonite powder or calcium silicate powder) is placed thereon, and the foaming stock solution is expanded and cured to obtain the purpose synthetic resin foam.</p> |
