PURPOSE:To render constant the length of dipping a substrate in a coating fluid by inserting the substrate into a small amt. of coating fluid contained in a cylinder, detecting the level of the coating fluid for dip coating with a level detector before the inserting the substrate, and finely adjusting the coating fluid at a fixed level in accordance with the detection signal. CONSTITUTION:A small amt. of coating fluid is contained in a cylinder 1, a substrate 2 is inserted into this fluid, and dipped with the fluid raised in level to form a recording body. In this process, the level before inserting the substrate 2 is detected with a level detector and the level is finely adjusted. Such fine adjustment of the coating fluid level before inserting the substrate 2 permits the dipping length of the substrate 2 to be made constant at each time of coating. |
