<p>A torsional vibration damper hub assembly (12) for a motor vehicle engine includes, in an exemplary embodiment, a hub (24) formed from a filled thermoplastic material and having an outer wall (26). The thermoplastic material includes at least one filler. The assembly can also include a metal sleeve molded into the hub where the sleeve is overmolded with the filled thermoplastic material. It also includes an inertia ring (36) positioned inside the hub, a rubber insert (38) positioned between the inertia ring (36) and the outer wall (26) of the hub (24), and an end cap (40) coupled to the hub (24) enclosing the inertia ring (36) and the said rubber insert (38) inside the hub.</p> |
