PURPOSE:The titled lowering agent containing rapeseed phospholipid and/or corn phospholipid as an active constituent. CONSTITUTION:A cholesterol lowering agent obtained by extracting rapeseed and corn respectively with a solvent, degumming the resultant crude oil to give an oil cake, dissolving the oil cake in hexane in an amount of about 8 times based on the solid material for the rapeseed oil cake or dehydrating the corn oil cake to about 1.7% moisture and adding hexane in an amount of about 8 times based on the corn oil cake to dissolve the corn oil cake, adding water in an almost equal amount each to the hexane solutions, agitating sufficiently the mixture, allowing the mixture to stand to separate the hexane layer and water layer, recovering the hexane layer, removing the solvent, dissolving the resultant pasty material uniformly in acetone in an amount of 10 times based on the pasty material, washing the formed precipitate, removing the solvent and drying the residue to afford the aimed powdery rapeseed phospholipid and corn phospholipid and incorporating the resultant phospholipids alone or together as an active constituent. The agent may be used as an oral solid pharmaceutical or parenteral pharmaceutical, e.g. injection, etc. |
