PURPOSE:To unable an illegal card to be used and to obtain higher security by including graphic form data in discrimination data for matching. CONSTITUTION:When it is confirmed that an operator inserts a card into an MCR 16 and the MCR 16 reads the card data, a request to input a password number is displayed in the message display area 26 on a CRT 16. The operator input his or her password number with keys 0-9 shown by B and a CPU 12 confirms that the input of password number is completed. Then, the CPU 12 displays a request to input the 2nd password data shown by a pattern C. The operator inputs the 2nd password data consisting of a previously registered combination of graphic forms and the CPU 12 matches the discrimination data consisting of numeric data and the graphic form discrimination data respectively. |
