Amorphous magnetic alloy of formula I: FewNixMnyXzZb (I> in which X denotes an adjuvant consisting of at least one metallic element, Z is a metalloid, a mixture of metalloids or a mixture of a metalloid with a metal such as aluminium, intended to make it possible to obtain the alloy of formula I in the form of an amorphous product, w, x, y, z and b denoting the respective atomic percentages of the constituents to which they refer, it being understood that: - w varies from 35 to 60, - x varies from 20 to 50, - y is greater than or equal to 0.1 and smaller than 1, - z varies from 0 to 10, - w + x + y + z = a, with a capable of varying from 75 to 85, and b = 100 - a; its preparation and its use as soft ferromagnetic material.
