PURPOSE:To prevent the driver from overlooking an indicator lamp and to avoid troubling the operator due to meaningless alarms during a vehicle stopping, by providing such an arrangement that an alarm is issued only during the vehicle running and an warning lamp is provided to indicate the opening of a trunk. CONSTITUTION:A trunk warning circuit 4 is composed of a vehicle speed detecting circuit 41 for detecting the running condition of an automobile, a trunk warning output gate 42 comprising an AND gate for delivering a warning signal indicating the opening condition of a trunk, a flip-flop circuit 43 for changing over the trunk warning, an indicator driver 44 for driving an warning lamp 5 and a trunk alarm issuing circuit 45. The running condition of the vehicle detected by a vehicle speed sensor 1 is confirmed through the output of the vehicle speed detecting circuit, and the trunk warning output gate 42 issues a trunk warning signal B. Then, a transistor 44a is turned on to energize the warning lamp 5. Meanwhile the trunk alarm issuing circuit 45 allows a buzzer 45c to issue an alarm when the output of the flip-flop circuit 43 is at a high level. Further, no trunk warning B signal is issued during the vehicle stopping, thereby no alarm is issued.
