摘要 PURPOSE:To form a stable klystron having low output variation by making the entirety or a portion of drift tube with ceramics covered with metal film thicker than the skin effect thickness. CONSTITUTION:Upon strengthening of mutual function between an electron beam 5 and respective cavity gap, some electrons will impinge against a drift tube 10 because the electrons are subjected to forces not only in axial direction of electron beam 5. It is the body current which is especially remarkable in the drift tube of the output cavity 12. Here, the drift tube 10 is made of ceramics 20 such as Al2O3, BeO covered with metal film such as copper thicker than the skin effect thickness.
