PURPOSE:To decrease pressure loss, by forming a taper-shaped discharge port with a gradually reduced diameter for checking a counterflow, providing the discharge port with an oval opening, and forming a taper-shaped pressure contact surface on the circumference of the discharge port. CONSTITUTION:A check valve constructed of a soft elastic member has a passage 2 disposed in an axial direction at its center, the passage 2 having one end provided with a liquid entering port 3 and another end provided with a liquid discharge port 5 for checking a counterflow which has a gradually reduced diameter and an oval opening. A taper-shaped pressure receiving surface 6 is formed on the circumference of the discharge port. With this arrangement a small discharge amount of liquid can be discharged without being subjected to any resistance against opening the discharge port 5. When a large amount of liquid is discharged, a pressure loss can be reduced due to a small pressure difference between entering pressure and discharge pressure.
