PURPOSE:To omit a TAG function in a simulation mode by shifting the action mode to a VM (virtual computer) state from an HPV state when a program interruption is carried out from the VM state to an HPV state (action mode) by a privileged instruction exception and simulating an instruction according to the address mode of the privileged instruction obtained in the VM state to transfer the data. CONSTITUTION:When a privileged instruction exception is detected at a VM, an HPV mode is set at a mode designating part 21. Then the VM state is shifted to the HPV state and a program interruption is carried out to the HPV state. Here the head address of the privileged instruction calculated to the HPV state as conventional, an operand address for access to a main memory MM and the information like an instruction code, etc. that can specify the privileged instruction are stored within a fixed area of the HPV area. When the privileged instruction is simulated by a control program CP in the HPV state, the PSW of the privileged instruction and a data transfer type are set to a register from the fixed area of the HPV area by a load instruction as a preprocessing action.
