SINGLE INDUCTOR MULTIPLE OUTPUT DC-DC BUCK CONVERTER IN DIGITAL CONTROL AND METHOD FOR CONTROLLING USING THE SAME

The present invention provides a single inductor multiple output (SIMO) DC-DC buck converter of a digital control mode capable of reducing cross-regulation by applying an adaptive frequency modulator and a method to control the same. Disclosed is a SIMO DC-DC buck converter of a digital control mode. The SIMO DC-DC buck converter of a digital control mode comprises: a voltage generation unit to generate multiple output voltages by using an inductor with a time division control; a digital conversion unit to convert the multiple output voltages into the digital values; an error processing unit to detect a pulse width to compensate an error between the output voltage of the digital conversion unit and a predetermined reference voltage by detecting the error based on a subtraction calculation; a digital pulse width controller to output the pulse width of the output voltage by controlling the pulse width of the output voltage based on a pulse width calculated by the error processing unit; and a frequency modulator to detect whether cross regulation is generated in the generation of the multiple output voltages and to control a frequency to determine the accumulation and distribution time of the inductor energy based on the result.
