PURPOSE:To obtain a vibration energy absorbing device which can be easily maintained and inspected, by disposing between relatively movable members a laminated body of elastic plastic members and reinforcing members with initial compression force applied thereto. CONSTITUTION:There is disposed between relatively movable members 21, 22 a laminated body made by laminating a plurality of reinforcing members 31 and elastic plastic members 30 to which initial compression force is applied by a coil spring 28. Thus, even if vibration in a direction normal to a direction to which compression force of the coil spring 28 is applied to the laminated body, a draw-down portion is not produced at opposite ends of the elastic plastic member 30 because the thickness of the elastic plastic member 30 is very small as compared with its diameter so that the elastic plastic member is prevented from being broken. In addition, the vibration energy absorbing device can be disposed independently, it is maintained and inspected very easily. |
