<p>PURPOSE:To accommodate paper orderly and stably by providing, for a stacking device for accommodating paper discharged from a copy machine and the like for every group, lifting devices for a discharged paper tray and a control device for continuously lowering the paper discharge tray from the uppermost position. CONSTITUTION:A copy machine 1 has a paper discharge port provided with paper discharge rollers 7, 9 and a lever type full load sensor 11. A stacking device is also provided with lifting devices (21, 25, 53) for moving a paper discharge tray 47 upward and downward between the uppermost position and the lowermost position and a control device for continuously lowering the paper discharge tray 47 from the uppermost position to the lowermost position while paper is being discharged from the rollers 7, 9. The control device permits the paper discharge tray 47 to lower at a constant speed and changes the lowering speed of the paper discharge tray 47 in accordance with a paper discharge speed. Further, the paper discharge tray 47 is so constructed that it begins to lower when a paper sensor 49 senses paper and shifts to a direction different from a discharge direction for every group of discharged paper.</p> |
