PURPOSE:To enhance sharpness by incorporating a yellow image forming coupler and a compound for producing a development inhibitor or its precursor in a blue-sensitive silver halide emulsion layer. CONSTITUTION:The blue-sensitive silver halide emulsion layer formed on a support contains at least one of couplers to be allowed to form a yellow image by the coupling reaction with the oxidation product of an aromatic primary amine color developing agent, at least one of couplers to be allowed to form a cyan dye image by the coupling reaction with the oxidized product, and at least one of the compounds to be allowed to release a diffusive development inhibitor or its precursor by the coupling reaction with the oxidized product, thus permitting the obtained photosensitive material to maintain an sharpness enhancement effect obtained by adding the coupler for producing an especially diffusive development inhibitor or its precursor and yet to save deterioration of color reproductivity considered so far as its demerit. |
