摘要 PURPOSE:To automatically and accurately measure the number of laminated plate materials at a high speed, by irradiating the laminated surface of laminated plate materials with light from an oblique direction and receiving the reflected light from said laminated surface by an image sensor. CONSTITUTION:Illumination apparatuses 9, 9 irradiates a laminated surface from the direction opened at a predetermined angle theta in a laminating direction with respect to an optical axis (l). By this irradiation, the reflected lights from a part of the end surface corner parts of plate materials 1, 1... are incident to the side of a unidimensional image sensor 6 and the reflected lights from the end surfaces of said plate materials 1, 1... are not almost incident to said sensor 6 and the unidimensional image of the laminated surface 7 in the laminating direction is formed on the sensor 6. This image is characterized in that the corresponding parts of the end surface corner parts of the plate materials 1, 1... in the side of the illumination apparatuses 9, 9 are bright and the other parts are dark. Hereupon, if the number of ridges 4, 14... of the bright reflected images of the end surface corner parts projected on the sensor 6, number of the laminated plate materials can be known. However, the shift of the ridge 14 of a reflected wave form caused by the non-uniform shape of the end surface is generated, the rows of analogue data from the sensor are processed by an operational processing circuit 10 and the number of the plate materials can be measured without receiving the effect of irregular reflection.
